Watch out, Danby, Flapjack is coming to town.

Flapjack is a delightful four member band from Ontario, featuring a multitude of instruments, including twin fiddles, mandolin, guitar, clawhammer banjo, stand-up bass, washboard, bones, feet, jaw harp and harmonica. The band's vocals are strong and the harmonies are as spirited as they are well blended. The youthful band has a well earned reputation for its energetic instrumentals, but Flapjack plays a full repertoire of traditionally grounded original music, with its unique fusion of "fiddle tunes, backwoods ballads, kitchen percussion and jug jazz."

All are welcome, and it's free. There will be plenty of room to get up and dance, but bring a lawn chair, too. There should be plenty of shade for a picnic on a blanket. In case of rain, the concert will be held inside the town hall.
