A Finnish dance and workshop will be sponsored by the Finger Lakes Finns on Saturday, April 18, at the Montessori School, East King Road, Ithaca.
Richard & Helvi Impola from New Paltz will teach the Finnish schottische, polka, mazurka, waltz, and other special dances. Music will be provided by Oiva's Daughters from Boston, with Marianne Cygnel on accordion, Christine Anderson on fiddle and David Tilden on bass.
Instruction will be from 7pm to 8:30pm, followed by a break for refreshments and dancing from 9pm to 11pm.
Admission is $6, and everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Richard at 387-4854.

[Oiva's Daughters will make a guest appearance at the contra dance on April 17.
They will play schottisches, polkas, and waltzes for dancing during the intermission between the Crumtown Rambler sets. Should be a crowd pleaser.]
